The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team in Northampton as a Finance Assistant Apprentice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to broaden their finance knowledge and gain new skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • To ensure compliance with the Accounts Rules in relation to all tasks and avoid any breaches.
  • To keep client and office accounts up to date accurately and produce invoices in a timely manner.
Key Areas
  • Client & Office account transactions: process proformas, produce bills, assist in bill production, action K2 bills and queries.
  • Post fees and other charges daily, liaise with cashiering staff regarding dependant transactions, respond to accounting queries, carry out transfers according to Shoosmiths policies.
General Duties
  • To hand out work promptly to the team and understand the Accounts Rules.
  • To be proactive within the Finance team, make suggestions for efficient processes, communicate problems to Finance Manager and/or team, and help the 'Lead Cashier' when required.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £18,000-£20,000 per annum, depending on experience.
