The EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship is a prestigious opportunity for recent PhD graduates to launch their research careers at the University of Bristol. As a Doctoral Prize Fellow, you will have the chance to propose your own bespoke research programme and conduct innovative research at the frontiers of Science and Engineering.

With a focus on interdisciplinary research, the Fellowship offers the opportunity to work with world-class research groups at the University of Bristol and access academic mentors and personal and professional development opportunities.

The Fellowship is intended for recent PhD graduates who have submitted their thesis and have been recipients of EPSRC PhD studentship support. Applications will also be accepted from students in the final stages of their PhD.

What You Will Do
  • Propose and conduct your own research programme
  • Work with world-class research groups at the University of Bristol
  • Access academic mentors and personal and professional development opportunities
  • Receive funding for up to 2 years
What We Offer
  • Grade J salary (£41,732 per annum) and a grant of £10,000 for research costs

Apply if you have submitted your PhD thesis and have been a recipient of EPSRC PhD studentship support or have been an incorporated student in an EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training. Applications will also be accepted from students in the final stages of their PhD.
