Signaloid is a computing platform that dynamically tracks data uncertainties. Our platform uses deterministic computations on in-processor representations of probability distributions, providing orders of magnitude speedup and lower implementation cost for uncertainty quantification tasks compared to Monte Carlo methods. The platform is available as a cloud-based computing engine and can be used via a cloud-based task execution API. We also provide on-premises and edge-hardware implementations for customers who prefer to use their existing infrastructure.

Our platform is the most cost-effective way to engineer uncertainty quantification applications and is also the fastest way to run these tasks. Workloads often run an order of magnitude or more faster compared to Monte-Carlo-based implementations running on high-end cloud instances.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of new front-end functionality of the Signaloid Cloud Developer Platform. You will also be responsible for extending the testing and QA infrastructure of the platform and for identifying and addressing any quality issues that may arise.

After a year in this role, you can expect to contribute to the definition and leadership of the evolution of key parts of the Signaloid Cloud platform, either as an individual contributor or as a team lead. You will also gain increased autonomy and responsibility for strategy within the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong background and understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • More than two years experience working as a frontend engineer.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS.
  • Experience with modern web frameworks and frontend state management.
  • Experience developing client-side web applications and working with backend engineers.
  • Ability to design clean and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Ability to implement cloud application backends and experience with GraphQL.
  • Experience with responsive and accessible design and understanding of SEO principles.
  • Experience working with UX/UI/Product designers and knowledge of good CI/CD practices.
