SEN Teaching Assistant Role for Psychology Graduates

Ribbons & Reeves is seeking a talented Psychology Graduate to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and dedicated to supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is based at a mainstream secondary school in Hull, where you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with SEN and SEMH needs. You will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being, and supporting students to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Support students aged 11-16 in a mainstream secondary school setting
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students to develop social and emotional skills, and promote their well-being
Requirements

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need to be a Psychology Graduate with a strong academic record, including at least a 2:1 degree classification. You will also need to demonstrate a passion for education, a commitment to supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
