Job Description:
Jumeirah Carlton Tower is seeking a skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join our team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a luxurious environment and develop your culinary skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the pastry kitchen team, managing daily operations, and ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.

Main Responsibilities:
• Lead the pastry kitchen team, ensuring efficient and organized operations.
• Develop and execute menus that showcase seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, ensuring high culinary standards.
• Manage food and labor costs through effective planning and waste reduction strategies.
• Standardize and implement recipes to ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation.
• Supervise procurement and inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards across all kitchen processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless and exceptional guest service.
• Resolve kitchen challenges promptly, maintaining service quality during high-pressure situations.
• Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, timesheets, and performance reporting.

About You:
We are seeking an experienced Pastry Sous Chef who possesses strong leadership skills, a passion for innovative cuisine, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. You should have extensive experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Junior Sous Chef in upscale or high-volume kitchens and hold certification in food hygiene and safety standards or equivalent qualifications.

Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including generous F&B benefits and reduced hotel rates across our hotels globally.
