About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our team at Mitie. As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of dining and service areas, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including setting up furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
  • Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and other catering equipment.
  • Perform daily cleaning of all catering areas.
  • Collect cash and bank it, maintain records and procedures, and undertake key holding responsibilities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate regularly with customers, managers, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Previous catering experience in a similar environment is desirable, but not essential.
  • Basic Food Hygiene and Health and Safety certificates are also desirable, but comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills are required.
