Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Drama Teacher to join our team at Wayman Group. As a Drama Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' lives by nurturing their creativity and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons to students at the primary or secondary level, fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Support students in developing their acting and performance skills through activities and exercises, assessing and evaluating student progress, and providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a comprehensive drama curriculum, staying up-to-date with developments in drama education and incorporating new techniques and resources into teaching practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and performance, ensuring that all students receive a high-quality education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Drama or a related field, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching drama to primary or secondary school students, with a strong knowledge of drama curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population, with a commitment to delivering high-quality education and supporting the growth and development of students.
