Job Title: Facilities and Utilities Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Facilities and Utilities Engineer to join our client, a leading global packaging manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of all facilities, utilities, and site services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules with contract suppliers for all facilities and utilities.
  • Carry out daily checks on facilities, lighting, boilers, BMS, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems.
  • Manage contract suppliers for boilers, steam systems, chillers, HV systems, compressors, and HVAC.
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs where needed.
  • General site electrics, including replacing sockets, lighting, and HVAC systems.
  • Develop and manage work permits for all contractors on site.
  • Small-scale projects, including investing in upgrades across utilities.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience as a Facilities or Site Services Engineer.
  • Proactive character with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Electrical bias with relevant qualifications.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, chillers, boilers, steam systems, and treatment plant.
  • Highly organized with experience managing contractors and maintenance suppliers.
  • Understanding of compliance regulations, including pressure systems and working at height.
  • Able to issue work permits to contractors.
  • Experience with ordering spares and parts.
  • Small-scale project management experience beneficial.
