Job Summary:

Excell Supply Ltd is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing cover for whole classes, ensuring that the work left for the pupils by the absent teacher is completed, and managing classroom behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cover for whole classes, including managing classroom behaviour and ensuring that the work left for the pupils by the absent teacher is completed.
  • Engage with the class confidently and work in line with the school's safeguarding and behaviour policy.
  • Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of learning materials.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, pupils, and other staff members.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage behaviour in line with the school's policies.
  • Experience working with children and young people in the last 2 years or a relevant qualification.
  • A valid Child Workforce DBS or willingness to process one through Excell Supply.
