**Job Description:** We are seeking a skilled Product Quality Controller to join our precision manufacturing team in Leeds. As a Product Quality Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards by conducting thorough inspections and tests throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Manage rework processes for non-conforming items.
  • Validate incoming materials and products to ensure they meet specification requirements.
  • Maintain measuring equipment in optimal condition and notify relevant personnel for any repairs.
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and manage non-compliant parts.
  • Create detailed reports for dimensional, hardness, and visual inspections.
  • Facilitate customer witness activities on-site, as required.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety standards and legal regulations.
  • Support ongoing development through retraining and collaboration across departments.

Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of geometric tolerances and various measurement methods.
  • Competent in the use of manual measuring equipment such as micrometres, callipers, bore mics, thread gauges, and surface testers.
  • Experience with the inspection of machined components.
  • Familiarity with Mitutoyo and Aberlink CMMs.
  • Understanding of non-conformance procedures.
  • Proficiency in using Rockwell and Brinell hardness test machines.
