Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant Opportunity

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Lancaster to assist with the appointment of a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant on a 1-month contract, with potential for extension. If you have a strong background in pharmacy services and are looking for a challenging role, please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver efficient dispensary operations and minimize dispensing losses
  • Ensure accurate handling and dispensing of all medicines, including NHS and private prescriptions
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements, as well as Company SOPs
  • Support the delivery of all pharmacy services where applicable
  • Provide safe and accurate advice on medicines, including OTC medication as required

Requirements:

  • NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or Dispensing Assistant qualifications completed through a GPhC accredited route
  • Experience working in a community pharmacy, preferably with experience using Pharmacy Manager software

Important Notes:

  • Availability to start immediately or at short notice is essential
  • Right to work in the U.K is required
  • A basic DBS is required for this role
