Regional Health and Safety Manager - Midlands Coverage

We are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety professional to join our dynamic and successful construction company, Thorn Baker Construction, as a Regional Health and Safety Manager. This role will provide ongoing regional HSE support to multiple construction sites in the Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the wider operations team and other client team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Attend client H&S meetings to discuss and implement health and safety strategies.
  • Support site teams with all H&S aspects, including reviewing safe systems of work and conducting workplace inspections.
  • Manage day-to-day H&S activities on site, including conducting investigations into accidents or incidents and managing on-site occupational health.
  • Coordinate training for project staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about Health & Safety and committed to ensuring a safe working environment.
  • An effective communicator at all levels, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • A technically aware team player with experience providing health and safety support in the construction and building services sectors.
  • Proficient in IT and report writing, with the ability to analyze data and provide insights to inform health and safety decisions.
