**Job Description:**

Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Surgical Nurse Specialist Lead to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and motivated individual to lead and develop our acute Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Service.

About Us:

Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust are both part of the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group. Both hospitals are separate employers with their own hospital boards and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead and manage a small team of Emergency Surgical Nurse Practitioners.
  • To develop and implement policies for service development within the surgical CMT which impacts beyond own service area.
  • To allocate and delegate workload responsibly and provide clinical supervision for a range of healthcare professionals as required.
Requirements:
  • Registered Health Professional.
  • MSc or equivalent in Autonomous Healthcare or related field.
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification.
  • Teaching Qualification (DipHE/998).
  • Management or leadership qualification.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
