About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyder Production Specialist to join our team at The Newt in Somerset. As a key member of our Cyder department, you will be responsible for producing world-class, award-winning cyders and delivering an exceptional visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of production line processes, embracing continual improvement and maintaining high production standards and quality control.
  • Conduct expert handling of fermentation, blending, and finishing processes, utilizing analytical skills in the laboratory to achieve high-quality products.
  • Comply with current legislation in Health & Safety and Environmental Health policy, maintaining laboratory and production records on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to comply with HMRC regulations and best practice.
  • Assist with logistical planning and execution of raw material requirements to match the planned production plan on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Provide entertaining and informative tours for hotel guests and members, showcasing our Cyder House and expertise.
