Shunter Driver

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Shunter/Driver to transport goods vehicles between company depots, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all traffic and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely Operate Company Vans: Transport goods between designated depots, following established routes and schedules.
- Conduct Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Ensure the van is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues or damage to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to Traffic Laws and Safety Regulations: Follow speed limits, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance requirements while driving.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License: With a clean driving record.
- Proven Experience: Driving vans or similar vehicles in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Ability to Operate in Various Weather Conditions: Safely operate vehicles in different weather conditions and environments.
- Strong Understanding of Traffic Laws and Safety Regulations: Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with colleagues.
- Attention to Detail: Organizational skills to ensure accurate documentation and timely deliveries.
Working Hours: 7am - 3pm
Location: Leeds
