About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Information Security Lead to join our team at Starling Bank Limited. As a key member of our Information Security department, you'll play a vital role in developing and delivering our Information and Cyber Security strategy.

Your primary focus will be on leading a team of Information Security Analysts, providing guidance, and ensuring the continuous improvement of our Information Security management processes and procedures.

You'll work closely with our Information Security Director and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential security risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

With a strong background in Information Security and risk management, you'll be able to provide expert advice and support to the business, helping us to maintain our market-leading position in the digital banking industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Information Security Analysts to ensure the effective management of Information Security risks and incidents.
  • Develop and implement Information Security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the secure design, implementation, and operation of systems and applications.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that all employees understand their Information Security responsibilities.

We're looking for someone with a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Information Security role, with a strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of Information Security Analysts.
  • Strong technical skills, with a focus on security architectures, threat analysis, and risk management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams, business stakeholders, and other departments to ensure the secure operation of systems and applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
