About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Van Elle, a leading ground engineering and geotechnical contractor in the UK. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects across various sectors, from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, procurement managers, and design teams, to deliver projects in the public sector (Road, Rail, Electrification, and Energy).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and the supply chain, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Develop and implement proactive project management strategies, including planning, risk management, and reporting.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with internal management systems, customer specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with procurement managers and estimating departments to ensure margins are achieved and expectations met.
  • Work closely with construction managers to ensure safe and efficient installation.
  • Control project budgets, including invoicing and financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of onsite QHSE and CDM.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities across all levels of the business and with clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in construction, with piling experience being a plus.
  • Ability to work flexibly to support the overall aims of the team and changing priorities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable Qualifications
  • CSCS certification.
  • Appointed Person certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Projects, Prince 2, or similar project management tools.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
Other Requirements
  • Eligibility to work and live in the UK.
  • A full driving license valid in the UK.
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK.
