We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Paediatric Intensive Care Specialist to join our team at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. This is a full-time post, providing direct clinical care in the PICU.

Job Description

This role will involve working as part of the consultant team, providing 24-hour cover for the unit, and participating in the training of Grid Trainees in Paediatric Intensive Care. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in general medical, surgical (including neonatal), cardiac, and neurosurgical paediatric intensive care.

Responsibilities
  • Providing direct clinical care to children in the PICU
  • Working as part of the consultant team to provide 24-hour cover for the unit
  • Participating in the training of Grid Trainees in Paediatric Intensive Care
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be on the specialist register for Paediatrics/Anaesthetics or eligible for CCT within 6 months at time of interview. Completion of all competencies in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine or equivalent is also required. In addition, the successful candidate will have a MD, PhD or other higher degree and experience of supervision of ST3 and above level trainees including workplace-based assessment and MSF.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £85,000-£110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including competitive salary, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
