Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, managing and motivating a team of Maintenance Technicians, including managing attendance, productivity and conduct.
  • Setting and monitoring achievement of team KPIs for National Fleet Operations.
  • Building a fleet and customer-focused team environment.
  • Improving existing and further developing office-based work processes and procedures.
  • Monitoring and minimising all areas of costs by receiving and inputting data efficiently and applying strict controls on all expenditure in-line with set targets.
  • Awareness of expenditure issues and formulating professional working relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitoring Distribution Department policies and procedures relating to vehicle maintenance and maximising vehicle utilisation.
  • Consistently monitoring OCRS maintenance system to identify strengths and weaknesses within the vehicle maintenance operation.
  • Responsible for maintaining all legalities, Health & Safety and HACCP controls in accordance with rules and procedures within the Vehicle Maintenance Department.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing and contractor levels to maintain company standards and legal obligations throughout the vehicle maintenance operation.
  • Overseeing the investigation of all accidents/defects and taking action as appropriate, and reporting any suspicious incidents to the Directors and Operational Management.
