About the Role

Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Biased Maintenance Technician to join our team at a well-established manufacturing client based in the UK.

Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, as well as ensuring the overall safety and efficiency of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Conduct troubleshooting and fault-finding activities to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and other team members to ensure seamless operation of the manufacturing process
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • ONC/HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification
  • 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • PLC maintenance and fault-finding skills
  • Experience with frequency drives, AC motors, and process control systems
  • Hands-on mechanical ability
  • Forklift, MEWP, and lifting equipment operation (desirable)
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment experience (desirable)

  • Standard operations experience
  • Total preventative and proactive maintenance systems
  • H&S, environmental, and quality awareness
  • PLC (Allen Bradley) experience
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems
  • Experience with frequency drivers
