About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team at Kingston Barnes Ltd. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating a variety of CNC programmable machines to produce high-quality parts and tooling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and tooling
  • Complete production-related tasks as directed by the department Supervisor
  • Work to set procedures and tolerances
  • Operate machines to a high rate of efficiency to produce quality machined parts
  • Maintain continuity among colleagues by documenting, reporting, and communicating on actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Undertake training and operate a range of CNC machinery
  • Maintain the work area to a high standard of housekeeping
  • Provide cover for the shift leading hand when required
  • Perform tasks throughout the cleats department area, including packing, operation of the cleat saws, and operation of the lathe
  • Follow a production plan to ensure parts are made on time for delivery
Requirements
  • CNC setting or programming experience
  • CNC qualification with interest in training
  • Heidenhain experience (ideal, not essential)
  • Mechanical engineering background
