Job Summary
The Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Podiatrist Clinician to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work as part of the city-wide Podiatry Service, providing high-quality care to patients across Birmingham and the West Midlands.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, categorising, and treating new referrals and existing patients, ensuring that patient care pathways are followed and current best practices are implemented. You will also contribute to managing patients' independence and mobility, promoting foot health and self-management.
You will work closely with a mentor and other colleagues, developing your skills and competencies in order to progress and develop your potential to take on more responsibilities within the team.
Main Responsibilities:
- New Patient assessment and treatment planning
- Local analgesia, minor invasive, and sterile surgical procedures
- Wound care and ulcer debridement, enucleation, and debridement of problematic skin lesions
- Neurological and vascular assessments using diagnostic equipment
- Musculoskeletal assessments and redistributing foot pressures
Salary: £38,055 - £48,995 per annum (depending on experience)
