We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Component Inspector to join our team at Line Up Aviation in Hayes, West London. As a Mechanical Component Inspector, you will be responsible for the detailed inspection of aircraft components using the latest criteria and inspection equipment. Your primary duties will include:

Main Responsibilities:
  • Undertake and complete a detailed inspection of all components (with exception of components which require a quarantine process due to incident / accident) using latest criteria and Inspection equipment.
  • Creation and modification of component overhaul / Repair routes within SAP as required.
  • Actively participate in department daily dialog meetings.
  • Monitor compliance with legislation, company policy and codes of practise relating to Health and Safety at work.
  • Be aware of and work within company policies, procedures and agreements.

Desirable qualifications include an Aerospace apprenticeship, previous mechanical component inspection background, and previous experience working within an SAP computer system. Good knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment, as well as previous practical experience using imperial measurement tools such as Micrometres, callipers and precision measuring tools, are also essential. Additionally, a good understanding of manuals and Boeing websites is required. Excellent communication skills, an excellent attitude to workshop housekeeping, and the ability to work to tight deadlines are also necessary. A flexible approach to work and excellent team player skills are also required. The successful candidate will have the right to live and work in the UK without restrictions.
