Senior Sustainability Mechanical Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sustainability Mechanical Engineer to join the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges' Sustainability Service.

Role Summary: Working closely with the Head of Sustainability, you will be responsible for planning and delivering changes to building services systems to implement carbon reductions and cost savings. This includes surveying buildings to recommend costed energy efficiency projects.

About You: As a key member of our team, you will work alongside the Senior Sustainability Controls Engineer to audit our buildings to identify energy efficiency measures. You will also be tasked with analyzing energy and environmental data to ascertain where carbon and cost savings can be made across the estate.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and evaluate building services operation and performance, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning to identify opportunities for improvement.
  2. Implement the recommissioning of building services to enable efficient operation leading to improved user experience, carbon, and cost savings.
  3. Analyze energy and other environmental data to provide evidence of improvements made and potential cost savings.
  4. Work with the Senior Sustainability Controls Engineer to survey buildings to identify energy efficiency measures and projects, including controls changes, metering, heating, and ventilation systems.
  5. Develop costed business cases for energy efficiency improvements, working with capital projects and procurement in the preparation of contract/specification/tender documentation.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
