About the Role

MJR Power & Automation is a well-established electrical and automation engineering business that works in the marine, renewable energy, and offshore energy markets. We require a qualified electrical supervisor or electrician with experience in marine or industrial installation of electrical equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise electrical installation teams
  • Ensure safe working practices and adherence to health and safety policies
  • Verify equipment functionality and oversee material procurement
  • Participate in site surveys and costings for quotes
  • Develop job-specific risk assessments and method statements
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and verify employee time sheets
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in supervisory roles, preferably in electrical marine installations
  • A strong understanding of electrical schematic drawings and experience in interpreting them
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • A flexible approach to work and ability to work customer-facing
  • A full driving license
  • A minimum Time-served Apprenticeship or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification

We offer a competitive starting salary of £45,000 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • Standard working hours of 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm) with opportunities for overtime
