Production Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team at Mploy Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth introduction of new products into production, optimizing processes, and maintaining quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the integration of new products into production by identifying and installing work instructions, tooling, JIGs, and fixtures to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing and reviewing standard work methods and work instructions.
  • Identify areas to maximize efficiency, reduce process waste, and execute six sigma projects to improve business efficiency.
  • Train and develop production staff to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures and maintain quality standards.
  • Conduct PFMEA as part of the Project Lifecycle Process.
  • Carry out post-build reviews in the pre-production phase of NPI projects.

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working as a Production Engineer.
  • HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
  • Previous exposure to lean manufacturing methods and quality methodologies such as 5S, Kanban, 6-sigma (Green Belt or higher).
  • Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks/Autodesk Inventor) on equipment, systems, and components.
  • Desire to identify and implement improvements.
