About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Rapiscan Systems' X-ray source development team as an Experimental X-ray Physicist. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to work on cutting-edge technologies for X-ray and CT imaging in the security market.

Your primary focus will be on designing and prototyping new and novel X-ray sources, which will involve collaboration with our experienced engineers and scientists.

You will also have the opportunity to work on the design of imaging systems, which will allow you to apply your knowledge and skills in a real-world context.

Requirements:
  1. Postgraduate experience in experimental radiation physics.
  2. Experience in the fields of ultra-high vacuum is required.
  3. Experience of high voltage is advantageous.
  4. Strong experimental skills, including the ability to design and conduct complex experiments.
  5. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate effectively in a developmental and manufacturing environment.
  6. An understanding of X-ray dosimetry and shielding would be advantageous.
  7. A PhD in experimental radiation physics or a related topic is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
