As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in integrating complex vehicle systems to enable our software to be developed and tested on our autonomous vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Integrate vehicle systems to enable software development and testing on autonomous vehicles
- Work with autonomous vehicles, demonstrating passion for robotics and autonomous systems
- Apply knowledge of self-driving car sensing technology (e.g. LiDAR, Cameras, RADAR)
- Investigate the combination of autonomous software stack and new hardware to ensure functionality
- Use data exploration skills to ensure new platforms meet Oxbotica standards
- Develop software for integration of hardware and improving automation processes
- Commission new data loggers and write test cases for systems
- Understand safety and legislative requirements for work
- Scrutinize and design CANbus systems
- Debug electrical and hardware problems for new components
- Engineering degree or related subject
- Automotive, Robotics, or similar industry background in System Engineering
- Familiarity with Python scripting or similar for automation
- Background working with rapid prototyping vehicle software (e.g. Matlab / Simulink / dSPACE)
- Knowledge of CANbus systems
- Ability to work well under pressure and with tight timelines
- Positive approach to problem solving and ability to 'think on your feet'
- Able to proactively preempt problems and seize opportunities
- Knowledge of key elements of autonomous systems
- Deep understanding of complex systems and hardware interfaces
