Academic Support Professional

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with complex needs in a mainstream Primary school located in Peterlee.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a teaching assistant in a school setting or relevant experience working with children from healthcare or another sector, which they can transfer over to an education setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy being effective in supporting students with complex needs and have an appreciation of the positive attitude required to encourage independence in their students.
Key Responsibilities:
- To engage with children and enforce positive behaviour
- To challenge children when they display negative behaviour
- To work as a qualified level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is £85.00 - £100.00 per day. The benefits of this position include free Ofqual approved training courses through our Affinity Academy, exclusive opportunities to work within seven Multi-Academy Trusts across the North East, access to a Guaranteed Pay Scheme, and a £300 sign-on bonus upon signing over from other Education Agencies.
We also offer flexible roles for part-time work and full-time roles for those looking for a more long-term opportunity.
