The successful candidate will join our team as a Sr. Manufacturing Operations Specialist, playing a key role in supporting the delivery of manufacturing engineering activities across multiple suppliers and commodities. This is a 12-month contract based in the UK, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies and projects.
About the Role
This position involves working closely with Procurement Category teams and Central Manufacturing Engineering functions to drive business-critical activities and deliver Manufacturing Engineering objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Technical: Develop, implement, validate, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and methods to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead-time requirements.
- Product Definition: Capture, analyse, and use data to demonstrate and improve current and future manufacturing process capability and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaboration: Proactively engage with internal and external networks, including technical communities and functional teams, to ensure product intent fulfilment and realisation.
- Problem Solving: Support investigation and resolution of product and supplier technical problems using appropriate tools.
- Strategy: Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved manufacturing processes and technologies to meet or exceed current or future requirements.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have suitable qualifications or experience in manufacturing engineering, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and a strong positive attitude. Technical experience in complex manufacturing, preferably within aerospace or related fields, covering a range of process disciplines, is highly desirable. Working knowledge and experience of industry and manufacturing engineering processes and tools are also beneficial.
Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
