Job Introduction

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Network Responder. As a key member of our distribution team, you'll play a vital role in restoring electricity supplies to our customers. You'll work independently, often being the first point of contact for our customers, and will be responsible for resolving issues on site.

Some of the tasks you'll undertake include:

  • Restoring electricity supplies to customers
  • Carrying out asset inspections
  • Fitting meter isolator switches
  • Responding to safety concerns on our network

You'll work 37 hours a week and may be required to undertake standby duties to provide coverage for our customers 24/7. This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check, and you'll be required to hold a recognised Level 2 Electrical qualification.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

  • Strong links to other Field Operations teams
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A full, valid UK/EU driving licence
  • A recognised Level 2 Electrical qualification (NVQ/City and Guilds)

Subject to business need, there may be opportunities to broaden your duties to carry out switching at HV. You'll be eligible for an annual allowance for this additional work.
