About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PR Manager to join our team at Iceland. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive PR strategy that showcases our brand personalities and drives business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a yearly consumer and corporate PR strategy that includes daily press office, product sampling, broadcast opportunities, and crisis PR management.
  • Manage the wider campaign development and partnerships of the PR strategy, including overlay with multiple brand fame content moments.
  • Manage other PR deliverables, including media events, taste test activity, awards, monthly media meets, and stakeholder briefing documents.
  • Manage workflow of other business teams that require PR support, such as New Stores, International, New Business, and HR.
  • Lead and inspire a reactive internal team to successfully deliver a constantly evolving calendar.
  • Ensure PR agency presents effective wash-ups, analysis, and measurement across core campaigns, including sales impact.
  • Work collaboratively with all marketing teams to plan and activate cycle communications and new campaigns to drive footfall in store and traffic online.
  • Full budget responsibility for the PR budget.
  • Achieve and maintain a good level of colleague satisfaction within the function.
  • Influence 'ways of working' across the business with best practice.
  • Operate with autonomy and proactively identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Lead by example to provide mentoring and support for colleagues at all levels.
  • Demonstrate the direct link between the work of the function and the contribution to business performance.
  • Operate at pace, with commercial awareness, pragmatism, and maximum efficiency – providing value to the business beyond core accountabilities.
Requirements
  • Experience in establishing and delivering PR strategy across consumer and corporate channels.
  • Hands-on experience managing PR activations (from small-scale to large events).
  • Experienced in engaging, challenging, and leading external agencies to deliver excellence.
  • Experienced in crisis management.
  • Significant leadership experience.
  • Commercial negotiation experience.
  • Experience of leading multi-disciplined teams to deliver strong results.
  • Experience of agency and in-house positions.
