Job Title: Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Presbyterian Church in Ireland. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues. You will also possess a caring and committed approach, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily care of residents, including personal care tasks
  • Encourage residents to be active and independent
  • Administer medication after training
  • Complete written records as required
  • Promote social and recreational activities within the home

Requirements:

  • Evidence of understanding and respect for older people's needs
  • Awareness of Health and Safety practices
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training
  • Proficiency in English language skills

Salary: £11.63-£11.73 per hour (dependent on qualifications)
