Transport Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Manager to join our team at our brand new site in Halewood. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing a strategic and dynamic transport solution to meet the demands of our growing customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement transport strategies to ensure compliance with customer requirements and health and safety regulations.
- Manage a fleet of over 30 vehicles and 40 trailers, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing costs.
- Lead a team of 50 drivers and agency drivers, providing training and support to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with satellite bases across the Midlands and Northwest to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee fleet compliance, fleet management, and damage reporting, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in transport supply chain management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Intermediate computer literacy skills, with experience in fleet management software and systems.
- Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
