Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to join our client's growing team in Newcastle. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for testing and commissioning electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement test plans for high-voltage substation automation equipment
  • Interrogate faults on SCADA systems and identify root causes
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of high-voltage substation control systems and components
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to design and build test kits for projects
  • Support factory acceptance testing activities and ensure compliance with industry standards
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience testing electrical systems and panel wiring
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment and adapt to changing priorities
