Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of team members in the machine shop, ensuring efficient production planning and execution.
  • Ensure adequate workload and optimal resource allocation among team members.
  • Identify and address any engineering requirements or issues that may arise, communicating with relevant departments as necessary.
  • Oversee routine maintenance and ensure the availability of necessary tooling, fixtures, and information for team members.
  • Monitor and manage staff attendance, development, and performance, including completing yearly performance reviews.
  • Conduct regular meetings to update 'SQCDP' charts and ensure quality control.
  • Operate VMC machines, milling machines, and other workshop equipment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of engineering practices and methods, including powder metallurgy processes.
  • Knowledge of machining methods, particularly vertical CNC milling machines and lathes.
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00, with alternative shifts available. Overtime is paid at time and a half.
