Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled mechanical assembly fitter with experience in large/multistage API pumps (e.g. BB3 / BB5 / VS). The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently to meet project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, refurbish and repair a wide range of rotating pump machinery.
- Identify suitable machining or mechanical repair processes.
- Perform mechanical fitting and assembly to manufacturing drawings.
- Prepare all associated equipment for site installation.
- Work to Quality & H&S processes, and participate in the safety culture in the workshop.
- Resolve issues by thinking creatively, and with a continuous improvement mindset, to meet project milestones.
Requirements
- Skilled Trade Certificate or HNC/HND would be beneficial.
- 5 years of experience with multistage / API pumps.
- Capable of meeting all certification requirements as per customer specifications.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to help grow the business.
