Role Overview

Unity is seeking a skilled CI/CD Specialist to join the Guardian Team, responsible for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our development process. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our CI pipelines, collaborating closely with development teams to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the continuous Merge Quality Verification (QV) operation for all Unity release branches.
  • Rapidly identify, address, or appropriately delegate the resolution of any blocking issues in the CI pipelines.
  • Proactively target and refine the slowest and most unstable segments of the CI pipelines to increase their overall quality over time.
  • Exercise broad authority to maintain the health of the CI environment, including reverting Pull Requests, halting QV, and modifying or removing unstable tests and jobs as necessary.
  • Define and enforce acceptance criteria for new jobs, ensuring they meet the required standards for performance and reliability before inclusion in the pipelines.
Requirements
  • Strong experience and understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) principles, tools (such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar) and best practices.
  • Proficiency in C#.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting in a CI/CD environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and pipeline management.
  • Experience with writing workflows with GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with Unity and NUnit.
