About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering to join our team at Widener University. The successful candidate will contribute to our commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service while actively participating in the collaborative environment.

The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in undergraduate and graduate courses, with a focus on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and fundamental engineering courses. Additionally, the candidate will conduct impactful scholarly research in the field of Mechanical Engineering and collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Prior teaching experience in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and fundamental engineering courses is preferred. A demonstrated ability to conduct impactful research, with a record of scholarly publications in reputable journals and conferences, is also required.
