Job Summary

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Band 5 Orthopaedic Plaster Technician to work as part of the Fracture Clinic team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and committed to providing high-quality care and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Work autonomously undertaking holistic assessment and examination to implement management plans for patients.
  • Use specialist knowledge and skills to provide treatment to patients attending the Plaster Room and assist the Lead Orthopaedic Practitioner in developing new and current services.
  • Work closely with the Lead Nurse, Managers and the Multidisciplinary Team to provide high-quality and cost-effective patient-focused services.
  • Participate in the delivery of formal and informal teaching and act as a resource for education and development within the service.
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
