Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients undergoing cancer treatment at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, St John's Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

The salary for this position is £60,126 - £64,906 per annum, which is commensurate with the UK national average for a Band 8A pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients, including pre-assessment clinics and pharmacist independent prescribing.
  • Work closely with the NHS Lothian Cancer Care Pharmacy team to ensure seamless patient care and promote optimal outcomes from medicines.
  • Contribute to service development activities within the unit and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Completed a Clinical Diploma or Masters in Clinical Pharmacy.
  • Experience working in a secondary care environment and influencing prescribing practices.
