NDT Technician - Aerospace Laboratory

Arch Recruitment Solutions Ltd is currently recruiting for an NDT Technician to work in an aerospace testing laboratory based in Warwickshire, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting non-destructive tests on aircraft components using various methods, including fluorescent MPI and Penetrant methods.

The estimated hourly rate for this role is £16.00-£20.00.

Key responsibilities of the NDT Technician include:
  • Applying testing techniques within the limitations of procedures prescribed by approved codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Deriving and documenting procedures or inspection techniques for NDT Inspection where required to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Performing internal calibrations and process control checks of equipment.
  • Carrying out pre and post inspections to ensure components are free from damage and FOD.
  • Conducting thorough pre and post cleaning using vapor degreasing and/or solvent cleaning.
  • Maintaining log sheets of incoming and outgoing work requests.
  • Ensuring the work area is safe for carrying out NDT activities.
  • Evaluating and interpreting results of the test in accordance with the applicable specification.
  • Producing a clear and concise report detailing the methods used and results of the test.
