Job Overview

Nurse Functional Assessors play a vital role in the healthcare industry, working with patients to understand the impact of their disability or health condition on daily life. At Maximus, we are seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, or Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our team.

As a Nurse Functional Assessor, you will use your clinical expertise to assess complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders. Your compassion and experience will help customers move forward with their lives, while you develop your skills and knowledge through our comprehensive training programme.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life
  • Produce high-quality reports to support the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining eligibility for benefits
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision

Requirements
  • Valid NMC registration number
  • At least 1 year of post-registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside of the NHS
  • You MUST have the right to work in the UK - we cannot offer sponsorships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
