Exciting Opportunity for an Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Meridian Business Support Limited. As a key member of our oncology division, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of patients in their homes, providing care planning and preparation for bloods, toxicity assessments, IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, pump disconnections, line care, IM/SC injections, and patient training throughout their treatment.
  • Work independently, making a direct impact on patients' lives in their own homes.
  • Collaborate with a wider oncology team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Display a high level of care and empathy to help patients achieve their goals and regain their independence.
  • Be well-organized and comfortable managing your own workload and itinerary.
  • Basic IT skills are required, and extensive travelling will be necessary between patients.

Requirements:

  • Valid NMC PIN and either formal Oncology qualifications or in-house Oncology training to administer SACT (Systematic Anti-Cancer Therapy) cannulation and venepuncture competency.
  • Full UK driving license is essential.
