We are seeking a guidance counsellor to support our students and work collaboratively within the pastoral team at our school from the start of 2025.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience counselling teenage girls
  • Naturally promote emotional and mental wellbeing among students and staff
  • Be able to create and maintain strong relationships with external support agencies
  • Be someone who is a lifelong learner and is always seeking to improve themselves both personally, and in their work
  • Be focused around building resilience and self-confidence within the students that they counsel
  • Have a proactive, solution-focused approach to counselling
  • You would be responsible for counselling students from Y9 to 13.

We are a state day and boarding school catering for girls from Y9–13.

Our student roll is diverse, with 15% of our students declaring themselves as Māori, and our Pasifika community making up 7% of our student roll.
