About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Ecology and Biodiversity Manager to join our team at Bouygues UK. As part of this role, you will be responsible for advising and supporting our operational teams on all aspects of ecological management and compliance with legal obligations and the project's Development Consent Order.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Ecological Management Plans: Develop and support the implementation of these plans, ensuring sustainability and effective ecological practices on site.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with clients, regulators, design teams, and project management teams, providing ecological consultancy services as needed.
- Environmental Management: Maintain the company's environmental management system in line with changing standards and legislation, conducting habitat suitability assessments and protected species surveys as required.
- Consultancy Services: Provide expert ecological consultancy to both external and internal clients, including surveys, mitigation, and on-site support.
- Biodiversity Net Gain: Offer technical support for biodiversity net gain initiatives, fostering a culture of continual ecological improvement and encouraging sustainable practices throughout the organization.

What We're Looking For:

- Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure construction projects.
