About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team to work on a major civils/infrastructure project for HS2, a challenging but rewarding opportunity to work for a Tier 1 main contractor, with flexible working arrangements in Aylesbury and Chipping Warden. The project team will collaborate closely to ensure effective cost control, timely reporting, and successful project delivery in line with NEC contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee all commercial aspects of the HS2 civils/infrastructure project
  2. Manage cost reporting, forecasting, and contractual obligations under the NEC form of contract
  3. Collaborate with the project team to address any financial risks and opportunities
  4. Handle variations and payments, ensuring smooth commercial operations
  5. Work closely with the client and stakeholders to ensure compliance and resolve any issues
  6. Provide hands-on support while adapting to the challenging and fast-paced project environment

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in civil engineering and infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with high-value projects, particularly within the NEC contract framework
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge with a resilient and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setting, while being hands-on and involved with the day-to-day management of the project
