Business Development Director

Join a world-renowned Brand Experience Agency as a Business Development Director and spearhead their new business team in London. As a key member of the leadership team, you will shape and execute the agency's new business strategy, focusing on London operations and supporting the Group's growth objectives.
About the Role:As the Business Development Director, you will lead the agency's London new business team, crafting and executing a global strategy to drive ambitious growth. You will identify new opportunities, manage the business pipeline, and promote the agency's unique proposition of 'Crafting Stories, Shaping Spaces, Creating Fans.'
Key Responsibilities:- Agency Understanding: Develop and lead strategic approaches to engage global C-suite prospects, tailor agency positioning, and promote our capabilities.
- Strategy Development: Identify target sectors and brands, craft and execute new business strategies, and review tactics regularly.
- Prospect Management: Manage the prospect database through Salesforce, drive initiatives, and monitor key prospects.
- Market Knowledge: Stay updated on market trends and attend networking events.
- Pitch Management: Oversee the entire pitch process, match prospects with appropriate agency teams, and conduct post-pitch analyses.
- Collateral Management: Ensure up-to-date marketing materials support the global strategy.
- Tender Process: Coordinate tender submissions and maintain a comprehensive library of information.
- Financial Responsibility: Manage the new business budget, establish ROI, and drive new business financial performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Seek improvements in our market representation and share insights across the business.
- Adapt to Change: Embrace innovation and adapt processes to meet the agency's evolving needs.
- Business Development: Proven ability to identify and secure new business opportunities and manage a global pipeline.
- Strategic Planning: Experience in developing and implementing business strategies.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating pitches.
- Communication: Excellent presentation, written, and verbal skills.
- Marketing: Knowledge of promoting agency propositions and managing marketing collateral.
- Prospect Management: Proficiency in managing prospect databases and engaging prospects.
- Market Knowledge: Understanding of market trends and ability to adapt strategies accordingly.
- Pitch Management: Experience in managing the pitch process and matching prospects with the right team.
- Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets and establish ROI for pitches.
- Adaptability: Embrace change and continuously improve processes.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and administration skills.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to build positive relationships and embrace a collaborative mentality.
- Sales and Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of brand experience and current marketing trends.
- Networking: Experience in attending networking events and seeking engagement opportunities.
- Tender Coordination: Ability to coordinate tender submissions and edit new business documents.
