About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Specialist to join our team at BYD Europe. As a key member of our passenger cars business, you will play a crucial role in supporting our UK market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report changes in local regulations to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with our Compliance team to ensure BYD models meet local laws and regulations.
  • Support the timely launch of new BYD products, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver type approval applications, insurance group ratings, Green NCAP ratings, and more.
  • Ensure the accuracy and availability of product data sources, including technical data and price lists, for retailers and internal teams.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested by your line manager.
  • Manage product demands from various stakeholders, including user groups, dealers, and local authorities or associations, by collaborating with cross-functional teams to convert demands into product implementations that align with our product strategy.
  • Lead local product campaigns, such as test-drive events and customer clinics, to refine our product proposition and raise awareness of our products among potential customers.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in the automotive industry.
  • High level of attention to detail, analytical approach, and process orientation.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating ownership while being a team player.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on operational details.
  • Numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
