Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced High-Speed Silicon Photodetector Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and characterizing high-speed silicon photodetectors optimized for microLED-based multi-terabit-per-second communications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design: Design high-speed silicon photodetectors that meet the required specifications.
  2. Fabrication: Work closely with volume manufacturing partners to enable high-volume manufacturing ramp.
  3. Characterization: Characterize the photodetectors using various techniques such as SIMS, XRD, SEM, TEM, etc.
  4. Reliability/quality: Ensure the reliability and quality of the photodetectors.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Physics.
  2. Relevant industry experience in PD development.
  3. Understanding of semiconductor device physics and semiconductor characterization techniques.
  4. Familiarity with semiconductor wafer fabrication processes.
  5. Ability to present and communicate complex scientific findings and drive equally complex engineering solutions.
  6. Ability to overcome unforeseen challenges in a dynamic work environment with shifting timelines.
Salary and Benefits

Estimated annual salary: $120,000 - $180,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
